Almost finished with this CDA class!! Had alot of fun again with this assignment of putting 2 figures together opposing and uniting with each other.

Another CDA assignment!! We studied photo references given to us and had to invent walking and running poses from people in static poses. Got these done early enough for Toby to review and give me feedback on.

Week 2 of my Figure Invention class. Practicing head shapes and eye expressions. Toby instructed in class that applying over the eye muscle "mask" would help flow the facial expressions.

Put Somebody in a Chair!!

It's a new Fall semester of CDA classes so let's start this off right and upload EACH week!! :)

My instructor this semester is Toby Shelton and I couldn't be happier!! While my Figure Invention class in the summer focused on Construction, this semester we'll be emphasizing on Gesture, Story, and FEELING.

This week we had to put a character into an empty chair and give that person personality/story in the one panel. I also experimented with different brushes throughout these sketches...

And NO, I didn't draw that chair MY GOODNESS I COULDN'T DRAW A CHAIR THAT GOOD IF MY LIFE DEPENDED ON IT....the chair and BG template was provided by Toby to all of us in class  :)

Dream Cruise

So my boyfriend and I just booked a Carnival cruise to Baja, Mexico for August 2014, our anniversary month. It'll be out first time on a cruise!! Him and I can't wait for those awesome 3 days...

Dapper Day at Disneyland!

What an awesome "holiday" at Disneyland! I didn't dress up unfortunately (had a closing shift later in the day) but seeing everyone in their gorgeous outfits was still such an awesome sight! 

These next few were done as warm-ups first before my color sketches!

I was drawing in the Golden Horseshoe and the live show was going on. The "drag" character is SO hilarious!!

Steampunk is hard....

Mmk, here was my last assignment for my Figure Invention class: design a character in Steampunk/AncientJapanese fashion in 3 key poses. I LOVED designing the woman but jeez, steampunk was hard to incorporate...

Week 5 of CDA homework. We were given a drawn driver's seat template panel from our mentor, Guy Bar'ely and had to design and put a character in there. These are my faves!!

My boyfriend got a kick out the Cowboy having reigns on the wheel :P
