MAAAAGIC!!

My Little Giraffe

Colored the sharpie sketch of the Lauren Faust-style Giraffe from my last post (http://christinaisdrawing.blogspot.com/2011/07/june-sketchcrawl.html).

June SketchCrawl!!

YES, I'm a "bit" late on posting these but summer classes got into the way of scanning. These are some of the zoo sketches from visiting the LA Zoo with fellow CSUF undergrads and alumni. It was REALLY kool yet intimidating to hang out with the PROfessinials but everything went splendid....except I got a fierce sunburn on my shoulders, much like Megan's BUUuuurn (http://sketchshark.blogspot.com/2011/06/zoo-doodles-zoodles.html)

I HAD to make a My Little Pony version of the giraffes...what!?! That show has a zebra, why can't they have a GIRAFFE!?!

These guys were just to cool to not be colored!! Colored also for my mother, a very avid bird-lover.

Also sketched peoples for practice also....I call this piece "Superhero Cape Tung stalk-sketching Girls".
Just kidding; I just arrange the sketches in this order  :P

Superhero Tung can be seen at: http://tungsweblog.blogspot.com/

Here, Have a Puppy

Just a little sketch done in Photoshop inbetween Corel Painter homework. It's my friend's 1yr old doggeh, Coco. He's freakin' adorable to the MAX. SUPER long too...probably a terrier/dachshund/ mix....

My 4th of July Experience

Had a pretty good 4th of July last night. Hung out at the boyfriend's house feasting upon grilled shrimp and chicken, cranberry vodka, and fruit salad. And watching fireworks explode everywhere in the sky and in our driveway. My best friend came by and that was FANTABULOUS; I haven't seen the guy in ages due to his work schedule.

He decided to tamper with our Piccolo Pete's by hammering in both ends of the powder tube with a rock and sticking it back on it's stand. Wonderful events occured.

Little Red Riding Wolf

Off to Grandmother's house I go!

A little character I've been playing around with the design since last semester. I wanna eventually make my own story-sketches involving her on her quest to Grandmother's house. Don't know what the ironic twist would beside Little Red Riding Hood BEING a wolf: a burly lumberjack or a sly fox as The Wolf character.......

Also it feels SO GOOD to get back into Photoshop with some free time that's know sprouting up as my storyboard class nears to an end. I've also been digitally painting in order to prep up for my Digital Advanced Illustration class starting up next week  :D

Here, have this too: the painted Little Wolf came from a full model sheet I designed last week! Here's hoping I can actaully model and rigg that red cape for 3D-Modeling this Fall semester!!

DYNA

Should be doing my storyboard homework right...instead I drew a picture of my friend Dyna. Experimented with gradient and different brushes.
